아이엘츠(IELTS) 셀프 스터디 + 아이엘츠 Tips(Speaking 9)

 

예전에 필리핀에서 2달 정도 스파르타로 공부를 한 적이 있어서 그간 공부했던 내용을 정리할 겸 이번에 학교 졸업을 위해서 또 성적이 필요해졌기 때문에 공책 정리를 온라인(블로그)으로 옮기는 일을 해볼까 합니다. 순전 개인적인 용도이며 고작 2달간 배운 것이기 때문에 잘 못 된 부분이 많이 있을 수 있는 점 양해 부탁드립니다.

 

 

오늘은 아이엘츠 스피킹에서 발생할 수 있는 곤란한? 질문에 대한 답변 오프너에 대한 예제를 들어보도록 하겠습니다.

 

질문 1.

tax people who are unfit to help pay for their health care. 

의료비를 지불하는데 부적합한 사람에게 세금을 부과한다?

- I'm against, that the state imposes a tax on unhealthy people for their health insurance because...

- I'm against the idea that unhealthy people pay tax(tariff: 세금을 매기다) to the state for their health insurance because...

 

질문 2. 

make all children do at least one hour of sport a day.

하루에 최소 한 시간씩 아이들에게 운동을 시킨다?

- I'm in favour of this thought that all young children do sport at least(for a minimum of) one hour per day.

 

질문 3. 

tax smokers because they have more health problem than non-smokers.

흡연자에게 세금을 부과한다 비흡연자보다 더 많은 건강 문제가 있기 때문에

- I must admit, I think, imposing more tax on the smoker is a good idea. 

 

질문 4.

run a campaign informing people what comprises a balanced diet.

균형 잡힌 식단을 알리는 캠페인을 한다?

- I believe that informing people what contains a balanced diet is not a good idea. (does not make sense at all: 전혀 이치에 맞지 않다)

 

질문 5.

raise the minimum age for alcohol consumption by 5 years.

술 소비 연령을 5년 올린다?

- I must admit, I think increasing the legal age for alcohol intake by 5 years is a good idea but(however) I doubt this policy won't convince people of its effectiveness. + 추가로 이 의견에 서포트를 할 수 있는 이유나 아이디어

 

질문 6.

What sort of place(어떤 유형의 장소) do you like now?

당신은 지금 어떤 곳을 좋아하나요? 

- I'm currently living in a school's dormitory. For the reason that I'm learning English especially in the IELTS course to get my band score. If I get(achieve) my target score I can work in Australia.

 

질문 7.

One of the most popular places in the world to visit is New York. People love to visit because it is exciting and interesting. 세게에서 가장 인기 있는 장소중 하나는 뉴욕입니다. 사람들은 그곳에 방문하는 것을 이유는 흥미진진하고 재미있기 때문입니다.  

- New York City, an engaging(friendly) city with a vibrant(lively, active = atmosphere) ambience and exhilarating(= exciting, fun) pace(페이스; 느린지 빠른지) is one of the foremost(most, first, top one) tourist destinations in the world.
